Terms of Service
Terms governing use of the Nexus United Desktop Windows application.
Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern use of Nexus United Desktop (the “App”), a Windows desktop application distributed by the NuttaButtaInAA publisher identity. The App is a dedicated way to access https://nexusunited.net, plus local navigation, favorites, download and settings tools. The live website, Discord and third-party services have their own terms and policies, which may also apply when you use them. If you do not agree to these App Terms, do not use the App.
Eligibility and accounts
You are responsible for meeting the age, location and account requirements of the services you access through the App. Website accounts and credentials belong to the relevant service. The App does not itself create or guarantee an independent Nexus United Desktop account. Keep your device and website credentials secure.
License to use the App
Subject to these Terms and applicable Microsoft Store rules, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to install and use the App for lawful purposes. No ownership of the App, its branding, source code or third-party content is transferred. Additional rights may be provided by mandatory consumer law or licenses for included third-party software.
Acceptable use
Do not use the App to violate the law, interfere with other users or services, bypass security measures, infringe intellectual property rights, spread malicious software, or access information or systems without authorization. Your participation on the live website and community channels must also follow their applicable rules.
Website content and independent services
The App loads live content from https://nexusunited.net. Content, availability, moderation, accounts, community features and external links can change without an App update. The App publisher does not promise that a separate website or third-party service will remain available or that all content is accurate. Third-party services may have their own pricing and terms.
Local data and downloads
The App stores browser sessions, settings, favorites, download records and downloaded files on your device. You are responsible for maintaining device security and appropriate backups. Downloads and files obtained through the website are your responsibility to review before opening. Uninstalling the App may not remove the separate local workspace folders; see the Privacy Policy for practical removal guidance.
Updates and availability
The Microsoft Store is the intended distribution and update channel for public releases. Updates may change functionality, security features and compatibility. Some functionality depends on a working internet connection and the live website. We may modify or discontinue the App, subject to applicable consumer protection obligations and Microsoft Store rules.
Permissions and platform integration
Certain optional features require operating-system or site permissions, such as notifications and microphone/camera access. You may decline permission, although related functionality may be unavailable. Windows or Microsoft Store settings may control installation, updates and startup behaviour.
Intellectual property and community branding
The App’s original interface, artwork and branding are owned or licensed by their respective rightsholders. References to Nexus United, Microsoft, Windows and third-party platforms are not a transfer of their marks or an indication of endorsement. You may not represent an unofficial or modified build as an approved official release.
No warranties where allowed
The App is provided on an “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, fault-free performance, compatibility with every device, or availability of the website. Nothing in these Terms removes warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
Liability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not responsible for losses caused by independent websites, external services, malware in downloaded content, loss of your local data, or service interruptions. This does not exclude liability or legal rights that cannot lawfully be limited. You remain responsible for your conduct and material you submit to third-party services.
Termination and changes
You may stop using the App at any time. We may stop distributing or supporting it or restrict use when necessary to address abuse, security or legal requirements, subject to applicable law. Material revisions to these Terms will be identified by a new effective date and may require additional notice when legally required. Continued use after effective changes may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
Applicable law and contact
These Terms are intended to be interpreted under the laws applicable to the App publisher in Alberta, Canada, subject to mandatory protections that apply in your location. For publisher inquiries, use the support contact published with the official Microsoft Store listing or the current contact method at https://nexusunited.net. The publisher must verify that a reachable contact method is available before public release.
